Basic Rights of a Citizen: The Bill of Rights

  When the Constitution was ratified in 1789, people were concerned that it did not protect certain freedoms. They wanted to change it to protect these freedoms. Ten ammendments were added to the Constitution. They were known as the Bill of Rights.

                                 - Freedom of the Press
                                                                  - Freedom of Petition
                                                                  - Freedom of Assembly
                                                                  - Freedom of Religion
                                                                  - Freedom of Speech
